Wedding Decor: Places to Decorate at the Venue

Pearl Paper Studio

Thanks to the natural beauty and character of the Rock Island, you don’t need too much decor to dress up the wedding venue. We have tables throughout the space that are perfect for displaying your guest book, memorial table, seating chart, and other personal touches! Below is a list of spots throughout the venue that you can decorate.

The Cocktail Entrance Credenza

The credenza is located right inside the cocktail hour doors where your guests will first enter when they arrive. This is where couples typically put their guest book, photos, and card box.

The Piano

The piano is right at the bottom of the cocktail hour stairs. More often than not, it’s used as a memory table or a generations of love table. Alternatively, you can set up your seating chart/escort cards here or you can simply display photos of you and your wedding party!

The Staircase

This area is located at the top of the cocktail hour stairs and the bottom of the Balcony Suite stairs. Couples use this space for their seating charts, a photo op/seating area, and/or a welcome sign. We can provide the wooden credenza for you, or we can put it away if you don’t have a need for it!
Credenza: 72" x 24"

Fireplace Mantle

The fireplace typically serves as a backdrop for the sweetheart table. It’s a great place for candles, photos, flowers, or a neon sign!

White Fireplace Mantle: 9'6" length x 6" wide x 5' tall

The Barrel Table

The barrel table is located to the right of the reception bar. This can be used for photos, your guest book, or whatever else you want to display!

This table is located in between the late-night station and the deck doors. This is a great place to put your wedding favors or guest book!

Ceremony

Welcome your guests to the ceremony with a cute welcome sign, ceremony programs, or fans! Couples typically place these decorations on the lawn right after the firepit and stream.

You certainly don’t have to have decor for all of these spaces; this is just a guide for inspiration! If you have decor that you are displaying in the cocktail hour space, we will move it upstairs to the ballroom before the reception begins.
