The past few months, we have been super busy here at Bear Brook Valley! We finished construction fourteen months ago, but we were not done making the grounds as beautiful possible for all of you.
One of our most recent projects we have been working hard on is a beautiful vineyard. The vineyard features about 450 Noiret grapevines. The Noiret grape is a hybrid grape which grows well in this area and is widely grown in the Hudson Valley and upstate New York. We ordered the vines from our friends over at Double A Vineyard. The Noiret grape is primarily used to produce a dark ruby red wine. Though the vines are little for now, they will soon flourish to be tall and beautiful once reaching maturity. Also found at the end of each row are rosebushes!
Another addition we’ve made to our grounds is an enclosed garden, located right next to our vineyard. The space is a 36’ by 48‘ enclosed area with a 10’ by 25’ patio and an eighteen foot long picnic table. Within the garden, there are fourteen planting boxes which include, but are not limited to, herbs like basil, cilantro and thyme, vegetables like, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and eggplant, and fruit-like strawberries.
These new unique enhancements join our waterfalls, bridges, paved trails and rolling hills in creating fun and unforgettable photo opportunities throughout Bear Brook Valley’s grounds!
